Mike is a retired Marine who served 26 years of honorable service in the U.S. Marine Corps as Master Gunnery Sergeant. During his tenure, Mike served as a professional instrumentalist in the Marine Corps Band (French Horn) for 7 years and served in the Marine Corps Recruiting Command in multiple positions and as a Career Recruiter for 19 years.  Mike earned multiple promotions, commendations and awards for superior service as a Marine.  He has attended multiple training events to receive certifications in sales, coaching/counseling, Military Entrance Processing, Recruiting Operations, Officer Selection Recruiting, Recruiting Instructing/Managing along with other facets of recruiting.

In 2019, Mike’s last assignments were the Enlisted Operation’s Chief for Marine Corps Recruiting Command and the 6th Marine Corps District where he was able to forecast problems and identify solutions prior to problems impacting the Districts Mission. During the initial stages of COVID-19, they achieved every monthly shipping requirement while supporting adjacent units in their shipping requirements.

At the Marine Corps Recruiting Command, he supported Operational Planning Teams requiring Career Recruiter SME support along with advising Senior Leaders required to brief members of Congress while serving as a liaison with the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense. Mike holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resource Management from Columbia Southern University.  He is married to the former Miss Kimberly Wilson of Jacksonville Beach, Fl. They now reside in Cantonment, FL with their children.
