Maj. Chris Lovell, a retired Marine and CEO of Lovell Government Services, told Fox News Digital on Wednesday that, “Every time an American service member is killed, it hits the veteran community in a deeply personal way.”
Lovell spoke after six U.S. soldiers were killed in a March 1 drone attack in Kuwait while supporting Operation Epic Fury.
“We know the training, the sacrifice, and the sense of duty that led them to raise their right hand. Whether you support the mission or question it, their service and their sacrifice deserve honor and respect,” Lovell said.
“For veterans, the cost of war is never theoretical. It’s faces, families, folded flags, and phone calls that change lives forever,” he added. “We owe it to those who were killed to remember that freedom carries a human cost, and that cost is borne by a very small percentage of Americans who volunteer to serve.”
