James Charles

James serves as an Operations Specialist at Lovell, bringing a strong foundation in aviation operations, military logistics, and hands-on technical expertise. A veteran of the United States Marine Corps, James served from 2006 to 2011, reaching the rank of Corporal. Stationed at MCAS Miramar with VMGR-352 in San Diego, he worked as a KC-130J Safety and Survival Equipment Mechanic. He supported three major deployments, including Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF), Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF), and operations in Djibouti, Africa.

Notably, James supported Lockheed Martin’s landmark “Harvest Hawk” project, which transformed the USMC’s first KC-130J into an attack aircraft. His work over two years involved close coordination during critical testing and modification phases, culminating in the aircraft’s deployment to Afghanistan in 2010.

In the civilian sector, James worked as a Plane Captain with V2X, supporting flightline operations for the U.S. Navy’s T-45 Naval Flight Officer program.

James holds dual Associate of Arts degrees in American Studies and Social & Behavioral Sciences from Coastline Community College. He is currently completing his Bachelor’s in Business Administration with a minor in Management at the University of West Florida. He is a dedicated husband and father of three and remains an enthusiastic supporter of the University of Georgia.
