Matt Cavett

Matthew Cavett serves as Chief Information Officer at Lovell, bringing more than 13 years of leadership experience in information technology, cybersecurity, and communications from the United States Marine Corps. In his role, Matt leads Lovell’s technology strategy, overseeing IT operations, cybersecurity, and digital transformation initiatives that support the company’s continued growth and innovation.
Matt served in the U.S. Marine Corps for 13 years, achieving the rank of Major. Throughout his military career, he was stationed at Quantico, Virginia; Twentynine Palms, California; Camp Smith, Hawaii; Camp Lejeune, North Carolina; and Stone Bay, North Carolina. As a Communications Officer, he led technical modernization efforts across global and regional operations, managing global data centers, directing cybersecurity and cross-functional technology programs for Marine Corps Forces Pacific, and implementing artificial intelligence and digital communications capabilities for Marine Forces Special Operations Command (MARSOC) and the 7th Marine Regiment. He also led the first major reorganization of the 8th Communication Battalion in nearly two decades, strengthening operational readiness and organizational effectiveness.
Matt earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Central Arkansas and a Master of Business Administration from New England College. He also holds the CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst+ (CySA+) certification. His military service has been recognized with two Meritorious Service Medals and two Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medals, and he served as the Officer in Charge of the Marine Corps Communications Unit of the Year in 2017. Matt’s strategic leadership, technical expertise, and commitment to innovation make him a valuable member of the Lovell team.
